Thoughts On NAP Shockwaves???

I have been using Rocket Sidewinders for the last 3 seasons with excellent results. This season I have decied to try something new and was thinking of trying the NAP Shockwaves. I was wondering what your thoughts were on them?

In a word: Tremendous.

I really enjoy shooting these broadheads...possibly the best I have ever used.

I harvested a WV doe with a Shockwave and a WV 7 point with a Muzzy. The shockwave did more damage and the doe dropped quicker. I know what I' m using this season. [:-]

I have heard nothin but good about the shockwave. I used the rocket steelheads last year, and their a great little head, but the shockwave has a 1 1/4" cut, a little wider than the steelhead, and the shockwave is also cheaper, so I' ll probly be usin the shockwave this fall.;)

My broadhead of choice for the last two years, and I' ll stick with them this year also. The two deer I' ve taken with them went 30 and 18 yards, but they were good solid hits.

I have used them for the last few years. Like everybody else so far, I love them. 7 deer 7 pass thrus= 7 dead deer. One thing I do do is sharpen the big chisel tip on a stone. It in my mind is very dull out of the package, blades are extreamly sharp just the tip needs to be touched up.

Shockwaves are an excellent head. Compared to the Rocket heads they are sharper and stronger. Another head to look out for would be the Scorpion. This is basicly a shockwave with a cut on contact style tip. I have not tested it yet, but it looks like it will be even better than the shockwaves.

I used these for a season 2 years back. Very happy with the results, also sharpened the chisel tip. I got rid of the o-ring system, used elastic band from steelheads (dental elastic bands) instead - the blades were snugged down a little better-uniformly (my opinion), opened easier (another opinion). Only reason I switched was ' cos I moved along the road to a longbow.

They work good. In my opinion, they shoot very similar to field points.
