One tough SOB

A teammate just sent me this, looks like the new SOB is one tough head.

that is sick!!!!

Thats a tough broadhead for sure. The steel drum testing is really not a good indicator of broadhead performance on a game animal IMHO.

Looks like a tough broadhead but I have never understood the reasoning behind adding mechanical blades to a fixed blade broadhead. Aside from creating a less aerodynamic broadhead the SOB isn't going to do anything that the regular phat head didn't already do.

They created an answer to a problem that didn't exist.

On a side note I did enjoy seeing all of the other mechanicals fail pitifully.

its a cool idea but I wouldnt use it.

Ryan.

I agree that adding expandable blades to this head don't create much of an advantage, but they do create some advantage. I could care less as I do not shoot this broadhead, but do you really think those little tips being exposed are doing anything to the aerodynamics of the head? Also, the SOB is doing something that the Phat Head didn't do as it has a larger cutting diameter.

Absolutely. Is it going to matter? Probably not.

They could have done that by simply reshaping the blade instead of coming up with this little gimmick.

Just add the extra width to the original head and be done with it.

IMO, entering into the mechanical head world........they haven't.....nor should they feel the need to.

did they have a rage bh in there? i never used one so dont know what they look like. it would be good for target shootin though. i think ill just stick to my fixed blade though

Yes, and it looked like I shot it with my 12ga. upon hitting that metal drum. Shredded it.
