Mechanical VS Fixed Blade
#41

Having not read this entire thread I'll put in my .02. Fixed blades are a better choice than mechs, IMO. Fixed blades never fail to open, and good fixed blades fly perfectly on good, well tuned arrows & bows. Cut on contact heads (I use Magnus Stinger 2 blades) cut from the time they hit until they exit.....which mine always have.

I have killed 40 plus deer with mechanicals and over 70 with fixed blade broadheads.
A broadhead needs to be strong, sharp, cut a nice hole, and well built to attain great flight.
IMHO the fixed head blades provide more of what I am looking for, and expect in a Broadhead.
