Like BC, I aim low double lung. I rarely catch the heart, but on the times that I have, they go down in a hurry. One of the deer I shot this year I clipped the top of the heart. It was dead in 40yds and left a blood trail anybody could follow.

Again like BC said, I tend to try to aim for a low double lung shot. If I hit my mark, the deer is going to expire quickly and leave me a good blood trail to find it. If I am a touch low, I am in the heart and still a dead deer. If I am a touch high, I am in the lungs and still a dead deer. It just gives you more room for error.

I like double lungs; bigger target, so less chance of error, and very effective
I have managed both heart and lungs with one shot several times, and it certainly got the job done, but the double lung shot always seems to put them down quicker and easier.
Best of Luck

i go for the double lung everytime. if you take out both lungs hes not going far at all. but with a heart shot he could run for hundreds of yards. i just like double lunging deer. kills them quicker
