Shooting from a blind???

I' m 6' 4 and about to buy my first ground blind. In researching blinds, I find the average height to be around 5' 5" inches. So when shooting out of a blind, how are you positioning yourself to shoot (kneel, squat, etc.). Any input on positioning or blind style and brand would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and good hunting!!!

I' m 6' 2" and bought a Double Bull I-5 which is 5' 10" and bought their folding chair that fits in the blind case. Just the right height for my shots. Good luck.

I also have a Double Bull T-5. I' m 6' 4' ' , and shoot off of a small chair. I have no problems with this set-up, I managed to take a turkey with my bow this spring using the blind and chair.

Double blind (T5) along with the DB chair. I' ve taken a
few shots from my knees, but most are while seated
in chair.

Do you think deer or blind mobility would be affected by an additional 6" in height with Double Bull' s archer version of the T-5 blind with a center height of 6' 2" ?

Thank you for all your inputs, they are all greatly appreciated.

Thanks again and good hunting!!

I shoot a DL/HD24 by Hickory Creek Archery. That is a Draw Loc / Hand Drawn 24 inch axle to axle. 13 inch brace height, upto 130 lb limbs. Shot a bear two weeks ago with it. Through front left shoulder and out right hip with Epsilon SME arrows and 100 gr. muzzy 3 blade. Mine is set on 80#.

This bow you can shot out of a box blind with a 6 inch window and not hit the roof or stand front.

I like to use a small tripod chair for shorter hunts and a comfortable beach type chair with arm rests for an all day sit. However when game approaches I will fold up the chair and get it out of the way and kneel. This way I can cover any window and any possible shot op that presents itself. You' ve got to be able to take advantage of the first shot you get from the ground.
