A friend sent these trail cam pix to me. I didn't see this post anywhere on here. If I missed it I will delete this post. One tough deer.

Yes it is.

Hopefully it's some sad circumstance that the deer was broadside and thew it's head in the way and not some slob taking a straight on shot or head shot.

I know crazy things can happen. Take my IL buck in 08. I was aiming at this right side, right behind the shoulder and upon release, he spun so fast I took him on the left side of his neck. Amazing. Luckily my shot was true and had he not spun, double lung, the amazing quickness he had turned out lethal as well.

I know in Bowhunting Crap happens, but anyone that intentionally would take a shot like that is..................................

Well you know:wink:

unfortunately many novice hunters always talk about head shots. they think that it's a good idea. i can't tell you how many people i have helled at because they were talking about head shots. something tells me that it wasn't an accident...just stupidity.

More proof as to why you should NEVER take head shots. Especially with a bow.

Now maybe, just maybe, it was an accident. And in that case I understand. But noone should ever do that purposefully.

Thats just.....wow... little disturbing and just sad!! Def. a cross bow bolt.. and more than likely some jack*** that probably just decided he wants to "bowhunt" with no clue as to what they are doing obviously!!!! They buy a crossbow and start flinging arrows at whatever they can just so they can say they killed one with a bow!! Pisses me off!! I don't mind crossbow hunters if they have a legit reason like a disability, but if your just to lazy to get out and pratice with a bow you shouldn't be allowed to hunt with one IMO

It's possible, but I highly doubt it. I'd say it's more of an intentional head shot gone VERY VERY WRONG!! Being a straight on shot, where else would he have been aiming other than the head?
