My bow is set at 68#'s. BUT I hunt elk and like to have all the energy I can get out of my arrows, especially when you think about taking longer than "eastern" standard shots.
Always be prepared. That's why I carry a full quiver of 5 arrows. They only way a few ounces and if I can't handle a few more ounces, than I should've started working out sooner before season.

I pull 65 lbs. I did a lot of searching forums for different opinions on KE required to down an Elk. 55lbs was what I settled on (now I am good for Deer or Elk). I wanted 55lbs at 50 yards. I know everyone will say 30lbs is enough for a perfectly places shot but I am not perfect. I then used the OnTarget software along with one of the on line Java scripts to determine KE at 55 yards. I determined the only way to ensure I get the KE I desired was to pull 65lbs. If I had a faster bow I could pull less weight and/or even use a lighter arrow but I am not going to go buy a new bow just yet.
