RE: bow for wife
Try the Alpine Impact Extreme. Got one 4 my son 40-60 lb and cover 25-31 in on one set of cams. adjustable w/o press very easy. This little bow is QUICK w/ 35-55 GT' s. Accurate and forgiving. I think whole set up is 289 @ local Dunham' s( so that' s higher than proshop). Also got him a Micro (Alpine) up to 40 and same length coverage @ 189 complete less arrows , release and stab. Another sweet bow and is avail in 50 lb limbs. Plus they got awesome cust service. Had a question and got a call from pres!!! within 24 hrs. Hope this helps

RE: bow for wife
My wife shoots a Hoyt Intensity, I dont know if they still make it but it is nice. Her draw length is 25 also, It is adjustable in length and pounds, has split limbs, machined riser, two piece wood grip and is light. Browning also makes some nice bows for women and youth. A friends wife shoots a Lady Impulse{i think thats it} and loves it.

You could take a look at the Pearson Warrior at www.benpearson.com. If you like it give me an email @ [email protected]. I have a new 2003 model here at my house. Right now it' s set up for 26" /50lb. It can be adjusted though down to 25" and about 45lbs. The bow is new and has lifetime warranty from the factory. Price is $200 including shipping. No tax. let me know.

Hey fastpassthrough, I bet my wife might like that bow if you want to send it to her and let her try it out through this season. Her draw is 27" and she shoots 70lbs. ;)

RE: bow for wife
Bought a Bowtech LadyHawk for my wife at 40-50 lbs. It is built specifically for short drawlengths, so the performance is better (in theory) than a larger bow that is adjusted down.
It has a 7" + brace height, is under 3 lbs, and the little woman' s score went up 30% in league the first week she shot it. Really well made. Most bows marketed to women are youth bows that are really well made because they assume they will be outgrown. Paid about $460 for it. |
RE: bow for wife
My wife also has the LadyHawk and it is whisper quiet along with her Tec 29. She is shooting both at 54 pounds and 26 inches draw length and the Tec 29 is just a little faster at 254 fps. She shoots both of these bows better than anything she' s had in 19 years. Her Parker UltraLite 31 or Darton Yukon SD don' t even come close to comparing to the BowTechs.

RE: bow for wife
My wife shoots a Browning Micro Elipse. Her draw is also 25" and it goes to I believe goes to 50# max.
I think I have about $275 in the setup. Bow was $200(I think), rest $40, sight $25, quiver $16. |
