i have a cheap one that was 45 or so from a year ago...it is fine, i added another binder strap to stiffen it up a bit though, the platform is a bit small for me though

I think it's like most things, you generally get what you pay for. Generally.

I like them, but I'm not picky when it comes to treestands. I need something safe that will get me 15-20 ft in the air and have enough room for me to stand on.

If you want comfort or other bells & whistles, this stand isn't for you.

I would have to disagree with this statement. I mean there are times and products where cheap prices does mean cheap quality. However, last season I purchased a $35 hang on stand from sportsmanguide, I ran out of stands and it was going to hang in a spot that I was not even sure I would make it to so I did not want to hang an expensive stand. Wow, the platform was huge, it was simple to hang and very comfortable. I ended up order a dozen more after only a few sits in then thing.

So to the OP, take a look at the stand. It may very well serve your needs just great and do so at a fraction of the costs of other stands.

i own about 4 of them, and I love them. The platform is not huge, but they tighten very securely to the tree, and you can't beat the price. I just bought another one about a month ago.

me and my brother and buddy have bought several of these. They are very wel built stands and the price cannot be beat. We use them for filming out of and theyre easy to hang.

What weight are they rated to hold?

jameser9 12-11-2009 07:36 AM

300 i think

Seats are comfortable, but the platform is a little small. I have 2 of them that I bought post-season (only $24 then). If I needed another hang-on I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
