The Spot-Hogg, Hunter Hogg-It is my top pick. I like the slight sight extension and the rock solid, single wrench adjustments. The sight is bomb-proof!!!

I second the Hunter Hogg. I've had one for 5 years now and its been rock solid. It's one accessory that you won't have to worry about on your bow.

How much does a 5 pin hunt hogg run?

SeraphHHC 12-08-2009 08:11 AM

With hogg wrap $214 without $169. I was thinking about the .01. Is that too small never seen any that small

Good night thats a lot of money for a sight! Glad you guys can afford it.

I upgraded to a Spot Hogg Right-On about two months ago. After sighting-in in the yard, I went to the woods. The first buck that came within range, I put the pin on the sweet spot, and the buck was down almost immediately. I'm happy with how the sight performed.

someone just tried to talk me in to a team extreme sight. 2010 model. look like a nice sight. anyone like them more than a spott hogg sight?

SeraphHHC 12-08-2009 05:22 PM

i been leaning more towards the hogg it. the only difference i can see is the dove tail bow mount?

muzzyman88 12-09-2009 10:25 AM

One thing that hasn't been mentioned about the SH's is their customer service. I doubt you'll need it, but if you do, they'll stand by their product 100%.

For a hunting site, I like the fixed mount versus the dovetail. Its purely preference though. It's just one less thing that can come loose.

The Hoggs' are expensive, I will give you that. But, if you buy one and get ten years worth of flawless use, its a pretty good investment. I believe I'm going on 5 or 6 years on mine right now and not a bit of trouble with it other than a couple broken fibers.

i really am having trouble making my mind up between the hogg it hunter and the hogg it. could u guys help me make my decision. Also is the hogg wrap necessary?

muzzyman88 12-11-2009 04:46 AM

You really can't wrong with either. It really depends on your tastes as far as being able to take the sight off easily or adjust it in or out to fit your peep. I personally went for the simpler Hunter model.

As for the wrap kit. I think I might buy one eventually, but have not had a single issue with the brightness of my pins. You might want to buy it without the wrap kit and see if they're bright enough for you. If not, you can always buy the wrap kit seperately later.
