Rage Broadheads?
 

I have hunted with thunderheads, muzzys, spitfires, and magnum stingers but none of thos fly straight or have a big entry whole. i have heard about rage broadheads and heard that they make HUGE entry wholes and fly like field tips. please tell me how they are before i spend 40$ on 3 of them.

absolutley love them! but i have a shorter draw length so i feel i lack penetration with t hem

This is my first year hunting and rage is the only broadhead I've shot but I love them. I shot a nice doe my first day out and got a passthrough. She ran only ran bout 35 yards. I was kinda worried after I bought them because I started reading bout people not getting passthroughs and am only pulling 60#s. I feel good about them now as long as I make a good shot. You can look up countless posts about them good and bad on here.

I purchased a set of Rage last season and shot them against my Spitfire. I thought they did"nt open when I shot two deer last season, went back to Spitfire. Thought I"d give them one more try again this year, thought i"d lose my buck i shot, broadhead did'nt seem to open, small wound took forever tracking. Two years staying with Spitfire, never had a problem, huge wound, don't know why your having flight issue mine mimic field points.

Just want to give you some advice. Your bow is not properly tuned. You should not have any trouble getting fixed heads to fly straight out of a properly tuned bow.

Yep, switching to a mechanical because you can't get a good fixed blade head to fly straight is like putting a band aid on a sucking chest wound.

I'm sure that the rages will perform well, however I don't like them. I've gotten them twice and had the same problem both times so I won't be buying them again. They have a stupid little rubber band that locks the blades in place. When you take them out/in your quiver the blades come unlocked and it wears on the rubber band. After about a dozen times or so of this, the rubber band is junk. They do send a couple extra but they wear out in no time as well. When the bans are junk the blades won't lock back at all, creating a useless broadhead. I'm sticking with my spitfire pro 100's, never had any problem with them

As the others have mentioned, if none of the high quality b-heads you mentioned fly well for ya..... TUNE YOUR BOW!!! If you don't know how to then you need to seek out the help of a Pro Shop in your area.

I also have shot several deer with Rages and I would NOT suggest these heads to someone with an untuned rig... the penetration loss will be GREAT. Be warned

Love em or hate em, I picked up a package of 3 and they put 4 deer out of 4 shots into the freezer for me. One bent blade due to penetrating a spine is the only issue I have had, and I don't consider that a problem. Two of the original 3 are still in my quiver. Also, since I don't have foam in my quiver, I've never had a problem with them opening on me.
