No need for the number slick. I work with a local guy. BTW Deweys price is $468 tax included I do think that is going to be pretty close to a average across the board. Tell your boy he is leaving a pair of C notes on the table for every mount. Now is this your buck or your buddies? 107" on a IA buck. Going to look a bit out of place at a texadermy shop in IA, isnt it?. JMHO None the less congrats again on the hunt.

That is the problem TeeJay, $280 is on the low end for the Dubuque area but $300 is still only about the average. Across the river in Wisconsin, $400 is about average. I don't know why it is like that in Dubuque. Thankfully the majority of my work comes from Wisconsin...since that is where I'm originally from. But my Iowa and Illinois heads really are picking up. People aren't afraid to pay for quality. I don't know Brandon Post personally, but I feel he is selling himself short. I've seen some of his mounts and compared to other taxidermist in Dubuque, he is towards the top...yet he is one of the cheapest.

like I said 107" is what I taped it at..(first time) He was guessing 120 when i took it there....either way my buddys happy with it.. i wouldnt say outta place theres anywhere from 50" deer there too 190" deer.... some people take pride in whatever they get...from young kids too older folks...
