Where did I hit her?

I shot a doe tonite...15 yard shot the arrow hit a limb and deflected a little bit. I thought I missed her she ran 50 yards stop and looked at me and the walked across a set a side field. So I get down too find my arrow, blood all over it, NO guts, walk up too where she was standing two basketball size blood spots fire engine red, went another 30 yds too where she entered the field and then started pin dropping. She was heading for a little finger over the nole in the set a side field.....so i backed off it before I got too the nole. There was some white hair on the ground from the exit.....would that red blood be the liver? and will the meat be good overnite with the guts in her? low of 38 tonite thanks IA

That would be my guess, is a liver shot. Unless you have a very very good steady blood trail, IMO, I would say let him lay up over night and go back at first light.

I would guess liver shot as well, shes probably dead on that finger. Give her as much time as you can before it starts raining before you go look for her.

I did a liver shot on a buck and he piled up about 250 yards away.

More than likely liver..........meat will be fine.......you'll be eating back straps for dinner.
