TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST , IT REALLY DOESNT MATTER WHAT KIND YOU USE AS LONG AS THE GRAIN STAYS AT 100 GRAINS OR LESS WITH CARBON ARROWS. MECHANICALS WORK WELL WITH MINE. I SHOOT A FRED BEAD EPIC EXTREME WITH CARBONS AND USE 100 GRAIN GAME TRACKERS. SOME PEOPLE WOULD DISAGREE THAT IT DOESNT MATTER , BUT IT DOESNT AS LONG AS YOUR BOW IS TUNED.

It is difficult for me to make generalizations without more specifics. A 70 lb draw weight is a good start as most, if not all, 70 lb bows have the potential to generate large amounts of kinetic energy even with a shorter than average draw length...provided the bow is tuned ofcourse.

Rocket Steelheads have proven time and again to be one of the more well-made, better penetration expandables on the market because of their design and cutting diameter. Head over to www.bowjackson.com and use his archery programs to figure out KE, etc.. for your setup. If you are generating something in at least the 50-55 ft. lb range then I think the Steelheads will be fine for you.
