Default Illinois bowhunt results

Just got back from a 6 day hunt in Pike County with a friend. Scored this one on Halloween day at 5:15pm, the second day of the hunt. Chasing a doe and came to a scrape. Shot at 15 yards... liver hit him... complete pass through. A 150 - 8 point. Best buck of my life.

If you knew how difficult this 15 yard shot was for me, you'd understand. For what it's worth, I don't feel comfortable standing in a tree stand, never have... so I sit even when I shoot. Anyway, the stand was set up as if I was a lefty (I'm not) so I had to completely turn my body nearly 180 degrees and with my right hand against the tree. I had the shot in the middle of the body forward of the halfway point and took it. That's why it was a liver shot. Waited 4 hours and came back. Found him 60 yds from where I last watched him standing about 60 yds. So he went about 120 yds. Thank god!
