RE: target panic

When I start getting target panic:( shooting indoor 300, I get close to the target, about 5 yds. Take the sight off my bow and shoot sightless for a couple of days, just concentrating on the X. Then when the sight is back on I continue concentrating on the target, I really dont even see my pin, it just settles on where I am looking. Target panic SUCKS! Good luck and dont let it drive you nuts.

You might want to get close to the target at first and each time you shoot an arrow step back a little more from the target. Good luck.:)

RE: target panic

It comes from a fear of missing and the anticipation of triggering the shot.

it would help to learn to shoot with a surprise release through the use of back tension.

When you learn the back tension/surprise release - the only thing to concentrate on is floating the pin on the x. The release comes on its own.
