WHERE IS BOWTECH HEADED???? CHECK THIS OUT!!!

Hey guys,

I posted this on another forum yesterday since this one was down, but, I figured that I would post it on here now. Check this out....

Yesterday I decided to e-mail John Strasheim and asked him if he had any info that he could give me about what next years models will be like. It was a long shot, but hey, if it worked it would have been great. Anyways, I asked him if any hybrid cams were going to be brought into the line-up for next year. I then told him that I would love to see a hybrid cam design brought into their line up because it would hopefully help to ease out the " stiff draw cycle" that alot of guys feel when they shoot a BowTech. I also told him of the forums and to drop by sometime if he wanted to see what actual hunters/customers wanted out of a bow. Now, here is his respose....

Jason,

Thank you very much for the wonderful message and for being a great customer. Also thanks for the information regarding the threads on the forums.

I would love to be able to discuss with you the new ideas and the changes to the existing lineup for 2004, unfortunately I cannot. It is too early in the year and I won' t give others ideas as to what we may come out with for next year. We did that in 2002 and the Legacy was born. I can assure you that we have taken your ideas (and others) into consideration and will have a great lineup for 2004. I believe your concerns will be addressed and all your wishes granted. I can say no more!

Again, thanks for your input, your loyalty and compassion, God Bless and good shooting!

John Strasheim, CEO

Hmmm... Could this mean that BowTech might conform to change and bring a hybrid cam design into the line-up???

It sounds like a far shot but could you imagine it?

A bow that is small and light, as alot of BowTechs are, with VERY little handshock and noise (as BowTechs are now, and even more so with the new cam design), with VFT Technology, and a Hybrid cam design.

Lets see, a 33 3/4" axle to axle, with a 7 5/8" brace height, SandTrap limb pockets, VFT technology in the vertical limbs, smooth as butter with a hybrid cam design, and shooting at speeds well over 340 f.p.s. Can you ask for anything more in a hunting bow?

Like I said, it may be just a far stretch, but, could you imagine if it happened. BowTech is already one of the most promising and probablly the most diverse line-up' s of bows. If they brought a Hybrid cam design in and still kept the other cam design bows in, what would happen? They would then be selling to every part of the market, wheelies, single cams, dual cam, and hybrid cams. Add in that they have some bows with parralell limbs and some without, they have some longer axle to axle bows and some shorter, some higher brace heigh bows along with some shorter brace height bows, ect... they would just about have a bow for everyone.

I suggest everyone that would like this to happen e-mails BowTech about it. E-mail John directly at [email protected]

Let him know what you would like to see done. Hopefully they have already gotten enough in-put to create a hybrid cam design for next years line-up, and if not, hopefully we can sway them that way.

No need to go sending emails to John.:D
Just click on this link and tell Kevin what you want next year.

http://www.bowsite.com/BOWSITE/TF/th...ages=1&forum=2

Kevin started this thread asking for feed back on what we the end users would like to see in the line up next year.

Now what does that say for a company to go onto a public board and ask what we want.[8D]

I do believe that we will see some of the things next year that has been put to Kevin seeing he is the cheif designer;)

I just hope they dont come out with anything that will force me to buy another one otherwise I will be on that TV show called " DIVORCE COURT " [:o][:-][&:];):D

BowTech does have the Generation 3.2 with the force draw multiplier which helps the nock travel. Maybe Mathews has already done a test on that one also;)

As I mentioned in your other post I think you and I have the same ideas. Did you get a chance to check out that paragraph I mentioned in my review of the Pat DC yet?

My thoughts exactly on the DC Pat.

Looking forward to the new Patriot " LIBERTY" :D:D

Wouldn' t that be " funny" if they did come out with a " Liberty" next year with those same specs?

You could write me up as having a new favorite for sure....:D

Hey Frank,

I did check it out and it sounds like this could make you forget about that Havoc redline if it indeed does come out :D

I also went over the the BowSite and told Kevin what I thought as far as improvements go for next years line-up.

Lets just hope that this goes through. Hmmm, another one I was thinking about. How about making a hybrid cam design out of the BKII' s cams. I can only imagine the speed [:o]

Just got a used Pro 38 dual cam. I like the cams, and it sounds like the new duallys have a shorter valley. I would agree with Frank about the force draw curve. The bow is already wrecking arrows though.

Three years ago, I sent a letter to Darton with what I thought would be an upgrade for the CPS. Their response was polite, but I have no doubt that they really never looked at the design or explanation. It did look like a Black Knight cam or a little like the Hoyt cam.5. (bias weighted to cut recoil, rotating module, sealed ball bearings, etc.) Maybe Bowtech would be interested? At least they seem to be looking for imput.

I think the wheely was a good step in the direction of producing a wide spectrum of bows.

How about a BowTech Valor, as in courage or bravery[8D] I like it:D Take the ' 03 Patriot Dually riser and move the reflex to 1 1/2 inches and use the ' 02 Pat single limbs with a set of smoothed out BKII cams for an easier draw at 70 pounds. Add a modular wood grip that you could change the width on and an extended shelf near the arrow rest. Really though for me the Pat Dually is as near a perfect hunting bow as I could ask for[:-] Thanks again BowTech!!

Hmmm, the Bowtech " Valor" . I like that. Throw that in with my Liberty suggestion and we could really get a sweet-named lineup. Forget about how they shoot, they just sound cool....:D Just kiddin' ofcourse. Maybe we could have a " Name the Bowtech" contest...:)
