Buck tag # 1 filled!
 

Hey guys, been busy hunting and been contemplating shooting this 4x4 I have a lot of pix of and been seeing from time to time.. Went in and hunted one of my mock scrapes and he showed up, when I saw him I decided it was time to put it on him. I knew he wasnt the greatest scoring buck but I wanted to put some meat in the freezer and get this season going. Made a nice quartering away shot as he passed by to my mock scrape! Really cool evening of hunting. Nice to have one down this early. Time to fill one more Idaho buck tag and then I am off to Iowa! Hes a short tined big bodied deer I called the hvy 4. Should score in the 120s somewhere.. havent taped him yet will get it done tonight.

Ken, I am headed out to hunt with Mike (BOWHNT) and Jason. A couple good friends from my old XX team that Ryan and Fran and the rest of the crew was on. They have a really nice farm down in zone 4 .... south of Des Moines Iowa.. 9 days, if there was any way we could meet up I would absolutely love to get to meet you and visit, let me know..

Yup Rybo, I can be brutally honest and say hes the lowest "scoring" buck I have shot in a long time but I have absolutely 0 regrets, this guy would probably never gained much. Short tined at his age he was destined to be short all over.. LOL He was a big bodied brute with an attitude.. hahaha wanna hear something funny! He had the biggest set of "rockies" I have ever seen on a buck.. LMAO his testosterone was directed in different areas than his Rack!
