Default Got a doe

Yup, shot a doe this weekend. It was my first sit of the season b/c of work and a new baby boy. It was a great feeling to get out there and spend time in the stand. I was completely out of venison so this will be a nice addition to the freezer. Shot her at 25 yards quartering slightly to me. I put it right where I wanted and got the top of the heart and both lungs. She ran about 80 yards and fell in sight. The GT XT Hunters tipped with a 100 gr. Scorpion XP blew through her like butter and did the job. I figured she was a 2.5 yr old doe and she dressed out at 90 lbs.

Congrats on both the new baby boy and the meat in the freezer.
