Default First bow kill! Tuskegee National Forest

i went hunting today in tuskegee nat. forest here in auburn al. this afternoon. got out real late bc i wasnt going to go but then decided to. i was far back in and didnt get up the tree until about 430 sunset was at 606. i didnt get to go to the tree i wanted to and it was getting late so i just decided to set up with in sight of what looked like a creek crossing because i saw lots of tracks. at about 530 through the trees down wind i saw a doe then what i thought was two other does. they were feeding and were about 50yds. i had been can calling blindly before i saw them bc i thought something might have been out there bc of the noises so i got out the can call once i spotted them and started calling. they started coming toward me and the lead doe stopped 25yds away but i couldnt get a shot. then a buck ran across a gully 35yds away and was waiting for the others. so now all three are walking away way out of range and the buck is waiting for the others to cross. then all the sudden he runs straight towards my stand and at 20yds he turns broadside and i gave him the mmmmurp to stop him. i put my 20 pin on him and smacked him right in the lungs perfectly. he didnt know what happend and troted 20 yards then stopped and was wobbling. then the two does came over to see what was wrong with him then he fell over not 40yds from my stand. i called up 3 of my buddies and they came out and met me to help gut and drag him out. it was a very lucky hunt and it was the coolest thing to be able to shoot him with the bow.

Great job. Congrats on a great buck. That's a great way to fill your first bow tag.
