RE: Native American Mounts for 2001 season
Bow.....You're truly an artist my friend.
I love looking at those mounts of yours. Glad to see you pop back in here once in a while! That "Bleaching and Boiling Dummies" book should come in handy around these parts!.....there's some real stupid people in the woods of PA.(I guess I'm gonna need a bigger pot?) Edited by - Matt / PA on 01/24/2002 20:56:15 |
RE: Native American Mounts for 2001 season
Whew! Nice work.
I especially favor the top one. Where've you been anyway? Good to hear you're still alive and kickin'! |
RE: Native American Mounts for 2001 season
Hey BOWDACIOUS
If I get the big 17 point I have been seeing next archery season, could you do that to the skull. That is probablly the most beautiful mount that I have ever seen. Congrat on the fine work. Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^) |
RE: Native American Mounts for 2001 season
I like your style. Well done and your mount does a great job at honoring the deer.

RE: Native American Mounts for 2001 season
Always great having you on my friend. Great mounts too of course. I shot my best buck back in November and if the Mrs. wouldn't have let me mount it (yeah right) I would've sent it down to you for sure. I certainly need one of your art works for my log walls. Speaking of which, when you coming north to check us out?

Hey Bow,
How's it going out in OK!! I haven't forgot that I owe you some Pic's. I get lots of compliments!!!! Are you hand painting these bad boys or are they stensil's or something? If your brushing that on I gotta se how you teach someone like me that can't even draw at 3D box!! |
RE: Native American Mounts for 2001 season
As if the sheer fun of archery season wasn't enough, you just gave me another reason to hope for a buck during the 2002-2003 season! I WANT ONE! Excellent job bow, they are truly beautiful!

Bowdacious ; Nice work they look great. I have been doing the same thing with bovine skulls. Heres an idea that will only add to the beauty of your work. Where the eye sockets are I put in dream catchers this can be done by using a piece of the leather from the deer and punching holes in it every where that you feed the sinew through that weaves the web and then you can place it in the eye socket and attach it with hot glue or if you are sure enough of your weave hole placements you can also drill small holes in the lip of the eye socket and weave your sinew through those holes. Personally i prefer not to drill the holes, it leaves the skull more asthetically pleasing to the eye. Try it some time. They will come out looking great.

RE: Native American Mounts for 2001 season
