Mathews Legacy....according to reports the cam and a half has horrible timing! Also proven by Mathews, they prove the Cam and 1/2 is obsolete!

BowHunterChris,

Mathews never prooved that the Hoyts had terrible timing. Mathews set the cams the way you saw in the ad. Then, they tested to see if they would stay in snyc in that position.

I shoot a Mathews FX and am more than happy with it' s performance. I expect that I may never need to buy another but if I do, I' ll try many before deciding . . . just as I did when I bought my FX.

If there was an obvious " best" , the other companies could just fold up shop and go home. However, that won' t happen because no one company is best at everything, nor does just one company serve the needs of everyone.

For example, if you have a 33" draw length, you can quickly eliminate many companies who are definitely not best at making a bow with a 33" draw length (mostly because they don' t make one). If you' ve been bitten by poor service from a company, you may decide to choose based on who has the best service and you would probably eliminate whoever gave you poor service in the past, even if they happen to have the best overall service record (tough thing to determine). For many best = fastest, or lightest or quietest. For some, it' s a particular combination of some or all of the above. So, it' s pretty easy to see that best can only be determined by the shooter. This is why so many bow companies can do well at the same time.

i have two bows, both of which are matthews. i guess it really depends on what you are doing with the bow. i shoot tournaments with my matthews legacy and it works great for me. the bow that i hunt with is a matthews mq1. it is older but very reliable for me. i have killed all of my best bucks with it. my only problem is what i am going to do when i have to retire it i hope this helps.......
