compound for finger shooting?
 

before i got all high tech with my gear i use to shoot with my fingers and like to go back but when i switched my compound bow which is a 2000 jennings buckmaster over to a finger shooting set up it was very inconsistant and shot like doo- doo no matter what i did. then after reading some articles and a trip to the pro shop i found that technical stuff( that i dont know much about) like brace hieght and such was the reason. my question is what specs should i look for in getting a compound that i can shoot with fingers. my local shop said that no one really makes anything like that . i also use a whisker biscuit arrow rest and i like the no fall off the rest aspect so i would like to keep using that also. i dont know if this influenced the way my buckmaster shot? any help would be great!

I finally gave in to shooting with a release this year, but looked at a number of bows for a finger shooter. If I was shooting a bow with a finger release, I would buy a Mathews Icon. Hope this helps.

From my experience...You need to get an axle to axle length as close to 40 inches as possible or above. Brace height should be a minimum of 7 inches as it is more " forgiving" . I shot fingers for years. These guidelines kept me in the zone.

Reflex Caribou is a good finger bow, It is a deflex riser with a 9" BH and is 45" AtoA

there is just something i miss about putting that string in my hands. it puts me more into the hunt if you will. plus on occasion i have left my release home and it would be nice to not have to worry about another piece of gear. i dont see anyone marketing a finger shooting compound. if i had more time to practice with a recurve this would solve that problem.
