I was wondering about this exact thing. I, by my error, bought some Eastons that were on sale a while back and in my haste to get them and get on to something else, didn't pay attention to the fact that they are aluminum. When I looked at the weight, they are 4 to 5 gpi heavier than some of my carbons. I was considering practicing with them a bit to see how they fly and how much adjustment would be needed on my sight.
Looking at the pros and cons, I know I'll get better penetration with them but lose speed. I'm wondering exactly how much speed I'll be losing and if those 4 or 5 gpi will make a lot of difference at 30 to 35 yds. Any of you aluminum shooters have a good opinion on this one?
