Stand placement
 

So I haven't had any time to get to any of my hunting properties yet, but i will have a whole weekend to get my stands out in 2 weeks. I know that it is pretty late to get started, but it is hard to find time being in school.

Here is my main spot
Yellow = corn
Brown = hay field
Blue = little creek
Green is the property line
The green marker is the spot i killed my buck last year :happy0001:



Here is my question:
Where at on this property would you guys hang a stand? I have a couple different spots in mind, just wanted some suggestions and to hear your thoughts. Thanks guys

Any known bedding areas you can mark on the map??? or any other natural food sources?

I haven't really found any bedding areas on the property. Almost positive they bed on the adjoining property to the North (property above the hay field). The only other food source on the property are scattered oak trees along the creek, a decent size group of them in the area with the green marker.

I would set up at the intersection of the creeks looking towards the hey field.

i would scout south of where u killed your deer last year...around where the stream forks....it seems to be the shortest route from corn field to corn field and it has a water source...

i agree with the others.. at the fork in the creek... or i would also try the corners of the left corn field.

i would say in the upper left corner of your map/property line where those three hedgerows join and all those fields come together!! Thats where i would go!!

its as simple as walkin that creek and finding a crossing you cant go wrong that way...check around that marker of yours...they may be staging up around the oaks before they hit the fields in the evening...dont stop at the first crossin you find look for the one they are usin the most...keep in mind deer follow edges, creeks, and fencelines more than anything else...if you keep this in mind it wont take you long to find a few set ups...looks like you got an awesome spot there
