Bowhunters who own Motorcycles ?

I hope this is ok to post here, but I knew that Rob/Pa has a motorcycle and someone else noticed it in the background of his Rob Doe post... (for him, thank god it has two wheels!) but curious as to how many of the other bowhunters enjoy the open road on a scooter...and of course lets see some pics.

Bowhunter818, I bought my 09 RK from Mikes in New Castle. They are way over prices by about $3,000 but they matched Annapolis's price where I bought my other bike for me.

My previous 06 Ultra

I just started ridding a year ago and love it. I have a 1983 Sportster 1000 cc ironhead. It was my divorce present to myself. I still haven't figured out how to get a deer home on it....

wis_bow_huntr 10-05-2009 02:50 AM

Here's a pic of my 02 Electra Glide Classic. I'm hoping to trade it in soon on one of those 2010 Ultra Limiteds with the 103 ci engine. My wife has a 883 Sportster. We ride every chance we get.

BowTech_Shooter 10-06-2009 11:03 AM

My current ride is an 08 FLHX Street Glide. Soooo much nicer ride than what I was riding before (shown below).

Since this picture was taken I've put Vance and Hines mufflers, a removable sissy bar and a taller windscreen on it, I took off the heel shifter.

My old bike was a 76 FXE Super Glide.

And my old lady rides this 883 Custom Sportster (for now anyway, she wants a bigger bike).

I see most of you fellas are some Wild HOGs. I weigh in w/ something that is just as on the edge but leans out just a little further...

FLBandit 10-06-2009 04:03 PM

I'm between bikes at the moment. My last ride was a 1999 Suzuki Bandit 1200 and for company it had a little brother DRZ400S. The DRZ was great, on-off road capabilities and a blast to ride. I'm kind of thinking about something else next year when a few debts pay off.

I've had 3 Harleys; a 97 Heritage, a 99 Fatboy, and a 07 Streetglide. My favorite was my 97 Heritage. I rode it all over the US and even up to Canada. I had it at bike week in Daytona 3 times, from there road it down to the FL keys each time, Sturgis, Breckenridge CO, Vegas. Now have I lost interest in motorcycles. Amazing how my interests change over the years. Here is my Heritage. It had 65,000 miles on it when I sold it and still ran like a pocketwatch.

Never owned a Harley, road a lot of dirt and rice. I sold my last street bike when we moved down a gravel road in 1991. I've kept my bike license current so that it will just be a simple matter of buying another motorcycle, probably after I'm finished putting the boys through college.

Here is a 2000 Big Dog Pit Bull I restored and rode for a while. I sold it a couple of years ago when I built my Sled. Currently I am looking for another project.

elkhuntinut 10-07-2009 05:23 PM

Does sled mean snowmobile ?? We had a great winter last year for those of us who are sledheads as well:happy0001:
