I'll know it when I see it. It's not cut and dried.

I can tell you I had a buck at 30yds yesterday....and he'd have had to cut that distance considerably for me to take a shot at him. He was perfectly calm....but I know my limitations. I'd have to be 20 or in, I "think". 15 makes me feel even better!

It depends. How close is he to my neighbors shed?

25 is my max this year. Have had some target panic issues and have built it back up to this range. Now if we are "shed" hunting I can extend that out to around 100 yds.

i am comfy out to 40 with the right conditions, I generally try to set up my stands for chip shots though. I have killed one deer at 38 yards, and the rest inside 20

well, i kno a guy who target shoots comp style and he can hit a coffe can at 200 yrds....he never killed anything though he is not a hunter..i have herd of guys bow huntin deer at like 106 yrds or sumthin and they retreived their deer successfully....as for me i can get the giant round haybail at 100 yrds...so i a jus stikin with 40 or less to hunt..i havnt got a chance at 40 yrds yet, and i aint complainin....but i think i will keep practicing and maybe make 50 yrds, then 60 and on up til i can hit a coffee can at 100 yrds, then maybe ill try that. we will see.

40 yrds has to be my max I would shoot comfortably. I have shot a little buck at 39 and a hog at 42. I really don't think I could feel good about the shot much over 40.

About 25 yards is my max. I can shoot 30 at a target pretty well, but not gonna chance it on a live animal until I'm comforable from there. Longest shot on a deer was 25 yards, shortest was 7 yards.

45-50 is my max, but it would have to be no wind, slightly quartering away, calm deer, lots of light, and before the hunt i was practicing to make sure everything is still good with my bow.... usually i'll shoot if they get it to 35 or better... but under perfect circumstances i would probably shoot at 45
