Default Would you shoot him?

I have this 4x4 that has shown up regularly on this trail all of this week between 4:30 and 6:45 pm (9 pictures in the last 4 days). This camera is directly on the tree my stand is in and a fresh scrape he seems like tending to. Im gonna hunt this stand first day Saturday if the wind allows.

He isnt the best, but on the verge of a shooter for this area. I see alot of other 3x3's on film, but very much on the limit for this area. Maybe I will wait and see with my own two eyes and see if the scrape attracts others (mineral site is on same trail, 80 yds away), potentially bigger.

Whould you hesitate slinging an arrow?

What is that old saying, "a shooter on the last day should be a shooter on the first day."?

Me? I would let him walk. However, I have told myself I wasn't going to shoot a buck I had on a trail cam a few years ago and yet he was in my freezer that fall. It is a lot tougher to pass up bucks when they are right there!

I definitely agree that its a lot easier to say you would pass a buck up then to actually pass one up when its in front of you but I would say I would not shoot that buck

It would probably be a hard decision for me as well, but from the pictures, I probably wouldn't shoot him either. He is on the verge of a shooter for my area too.
