Question about P and Y.
I have never registered a deer with P and Y. I did look into it several years back. I noticed that back then, a bow must have no more than 60% letoff to be considered for P and Y. Is this still true? Reason I asked, is because most bows made now have 70-80% letoff. I have no issue with it, because a very seldom shoot a compound, and mine is only 60% let off.

Over 60 gets an * if I'm not mistaken.

It's 65% Jeff.

Well then, that would be over 60, then, wouldn't it? ...lol (see below....from 'A League of Their Own")
Ernie Capadino: Mmm-hmm. They'll pay you 75 dollars a week. Kit Keller: We only make 30 at the dairy. Ernie Capadino: Well then, this would be more, wouldn't it? (Thanks, Steve) |
I think you are correct on the *. If 'm not mistaken, that started after the Beatty buck was taken, because his bow was 80% let-off and at that time, not eligible for entry, even though it was (and is) the archery world record.
