FREAKIN' AWESOME, Kelly!!!!

And THANKS for the long post; I was hanging on every word of it!!

Aside from my annual elk trips to Colorado, bear is next on my list... but then Yukon moose is probably my ultimate "big-time" goal.

Congratulations again, buddy.

How much does a shoulder mount on a moose run?

Holy freakin cow man, thats one big moose. I used to go to newfoundland for moose and made up my mind last time I will be going to BC or Yukon next time. Great story. In the years I went to newfound, I never got one closer than 100 yards. And they were very scared of man.

Very cool story.

Kelly,

Great story, great pictures and more importantly, a huge congratulations. Moose are on my list. Would you highly recommend how you did this? Again, congratulations.

Thanks guys. And Greg..you really don't want to know how much a shoulder mount cost. Save you're pennies is all I'm saying. I would highly recommend to anyone this hunt. If it's timed right the moose respond very well to calls. The country is beautiful. Made me feel like I stepped back in time. I hunted with Macmillan River Adventures. I would give them the highest recommendation. These guys are serious about moose and making sure you have a chance to harvest one is priority one. So, be ready to work for it cause your guide will. It's expensive due to the length of steps and cost of getting you in and out of the bush not to mention food and fuel. They estimate that due to having to plane every necessity in the cost of a 5 gallon tank of fuel was $ 120. Anyhow, if anyone is truly interested I'd gladly give you all the ins and outs. I was lucky to have stumbled upon the opportunity thru a buddy who had to cancel for personal reasons. His loss was definitely my gain. Anyhow, it's just that freaking cool. They have them a lot bigger, but like I said, they all are big. Everyone that I traveled with took a pope and young quality animal. Amazing.
