Whats broadhead are you using?

And why? I wanna hear the good, the bad, and the ugly. And what broadheads do you think are terrible?

1shotkill1993 09-23-2009 10:55 AM

Using G5 Striker 125g. I don't have a hated broadhead yet, this is only my second bow season.

Love fixed. Currently shooting the Shuttle T by Tightpoint.

HoytMT2332 09-23-2009 11:00 AM

I love abc broadheads, sonics and libertys. They fly great and always get a passthrough. No good on bone but im only shooting 57 lbs. So nothing is. Im going with thunderheads this year though.

NAP Thunderhead 100gr ......... been shooting them for 15 years so I can't give any bad opinions on anything....to me there like a cast iron skillet...but I would like to check out the slicktricks some day....alot talk about them...

baileym62 09-23-2009 11:05 AM

shot one so far with rage 2 blade it worked great even with terrible shot if someone could tell me how id post pics id like to post them anyway

HoytMT2332 09-23-2009 11:09 AM

I can't seem to get a pass through with rages. Two holes is better than one imo. So i went to fixed. However, the turkeys arent gonna like the rages much this spring.

baileym62 09-23-2009 11:26 AM

i got pass through and took backbone too at 31 32 yards 70 lb diamond rock bow when they dont work for me ill be looking for something else hopefully thats not soon as i said this is my first with bow anyone got a way to post pics

Using rage 2 blade and going to continue since I haven't had to track a deer I've shot with them yet. Used Muzzy before and they are good as well.

sportsman22 09-23-2009 11:56 AM

Rage 2" 2 blade

The Outdoorsman 09-23-2009 12:23 PM

I've switched away from mechanicals. Its more of a confidence thing. My rocket mechanicals did the job, complete pass thru, but there is something about a cut on contact broadhead that just makes me feel more confident. Im using Satillite Titan 4S broadheads in 125 gr.

do you have the picture on your computer already? if so go to a image hosting site like www.imageshack.com and upload it there. Then in a post click on the little image tab right above where the text goes and copy and paste your image link into the box that comes up.

I shoot rage 2 blades and 3 blades and so far have nothing bad to say about them, ive only shot one deer with them and it was a pass through, they put some nice holes in the deer.

Rickmur 09-23-2009 02:22 PM

Shuttle T's. Nothing but pass throughs on my last dozen or so deer.

Whitetailaddict13 09-23-2009 02:42 PM

Wasp Hammer 75 grains. Little suckers pack a punch, fly like field points too.

Bible_Man 09-23-2009 02:50 PM

Using Muzzy 100 gr. 3 blades..as for why, I have Trex to thank. Freebies were essential this year. Thanks man...big time!

reds10ss 09-23-2009 03:35 PM

slick trick mags...100 gr....also used steelforce bh's called "venoms" but the last time i found them was the 07 season...they were awesome too.

razor6570 09-23-2009 03:59 PM

NAP Thunderheads! I have been using them for the better part of 10 years. Never broke a blade! I am partial to cut on contact but I have seen the damage that the Rage does, very respectable. If expandables are in your future, I would go with the Rage. Confidence in your equipment is huge. If it flies good, use it.

jnrbronc 09-23-2009 05:04 PM

I got a Zwickey Black Diamond in the quiver, next to a Bear Razor head. I have some Wasp Bullets I'm gonna try this fall. They will share quiver space with Wasp Jakhammers.

MATHEWS PA BOWHUNTER 09-23-2009 05:19 PM

GRIM REAPERS

They are :evil:on the DEER

superstockbigblock 09-23-2009 05:40 PM

Going with rage 2 blade, have g5 tekan's also. Paper tuned the bow, haven't tried shooting my thunderheads out of it, got them if i need them. Gf is only at 40lbs, going to have her try a 10-20 yd shot with a 85 gr. montec.
