West Virginia Bowseason

Man I swear it feels like The Mountain State is the last freakin state to open bow season. Oct 17th here in WV. Still a dang month away. I swear I'm so jealous of all you guys lucky enough to go out now. Goodluck guys!

Yeah it was only select counties for private land only. I hunt one of the four bow-only counties so it was closed there. I think Bowseason should open up statewide for like doe only on Sept 14th until Oct. 14th and bucks and does both would open up on Oct. 14th until Dec. 31st. Keep the Buck Gun season the same two weeks it is in November.

NY is Oct 17th as well I cant wait

I think the season should open Oct 1, or even before. WV's dnr never do anything smart it seems, and when they finally do...its like 3yrs too late. I don't get it. Alas, we wait while everyone else kills slammers! LOL, oh well. At least for me, VA opens 10/3.

I wish MD opened later like Oct 10th. I wouldn't feel pressured to bowhunt that early. I know I don't have too. But the season is open, the woods call me. Even though its 80F outside and bugs eating you alive.

Also, we would cut down on all these spoilage stories we hear.

Another guy on here killed a doe and didn't recover until the next morning at 65F. And he said he is going to eat it. I know I wouldn't.
