There was water there and he drank 3-4 times that we saw, my buddy said he was gone the next morning and he has rode around the property and hasnt seen him laying anywhere dead, so we are pretty sure he lived, only time will tell....

turkeygirl- those were flies, he had a couple of wounds on him, I am guess it happened while the other deer was alive..Dont really know, was going to spray him with a spray they put on cattle to keep flies off, but the warden told us not to..
