Food is not that important to me when I'm hunting. I can make it until I get off the stand. Water is the only thing I take with me, if I take anything.

now if you drop the cores of the stand is that baiting. I knew a guy who would pack his apple cores and so on in with him every week and drop them by his stand. He always said he would tell the co he was eatting them to get out of the ticket. Though i do not know if he ever got to put it to the test.

I would def say "no" to that idea. Indians used to stop eating meat days before a hunt, because they believed that the deer could identify them as a predators. I know that when you pop a bag of my jerky open, the smell is very very strong. I personally avoid eating or drinking anything other than water on stand. If it's an all day sit, i would pack a couple apples and that's about it.
