G5 Strikers...

I am new to bowhunting, last year was my first bow season.

Does anyone use them? I bought them last year for this season. I pulled them out yesterday to put on the practice shooting one, there wasn't one.

Do I need to go get one? I used the rage 2 blades last year and i had one to practice with. I researched a little bit and they say I dont need a practice shooting broadhead becuase the G5 strikers fly exactly like a feild tip. Is this true?

I just dont feel comfortable going out opening day never having shot the broadhead before.

I use the G5 Strikers and love them. I used the rage 3 blade last year and switched to the G5 after my first rage shot at a quartering away deer deflected off the ribs and wounded the deer, I later shot that same deer with my rifle. The stryker flies exactly like my field tip (on my bow). If I were you I'd buy another pack and use one broadhead as a practice head. The razors are replaceble so you could replace the blades and sharpen the point if necessary if you don't want to invest the $35 for another pack, replacement razors are about $15. But in my opinion, you can never have enough of a great thing so I'd buy another pack.

Exactly? - don't know for sure but close enough that I didn't change a thing on my set-up. I'd still recommend shooting one for practice though.

I bought three packs, and two packs of replacement blades. I shoot a broadhead on each of my hunting arrows to make sure they fly true. It is an awesome head, using them this year myself.

he was 12 yards quartering away. blew right threw him. down within 40 yards and blood was awesome.

I will be using them for the first time this year also. I would shoot one of them and make sure they fly right. I have always done this just in case. Depending on the target you have ,it might not even dull the blades. Mine didn't.

I use the strikers and love them as well. I just use one of them as a practice head and they do fly the same as my field points. Also I havent seen any dulling from my target so I wouldnt hesitate using the practice one of needed. Good luck
