Default Any guesses on the age of this buck?

If anyone could guess the age of this buck i would really appreciate it, here in NY 8 pointers are rare (where we hunt) and would love to know how old he is, or if i should wait till next year.

Would be a 1.5 year old buck here in MI. My guess is that its 2.5 in NY. Without being able to see the proportion of the legs to the stomach, its hard for me to tell with any certainty though.

I'd say 2.5 yo. If 8-pointers are rare where you are, than I would shoot him. Sounds like you won't be getting many more chances. I'm sure he's going to get much bigger if he lives, though.
