Still good...?
well i was walking to my camera and took a diff route just to look at an old mineral site i had....and i found a new scrape about 10 yards away....after i look at it i take about 2 steps away from it i scared something up at 20 yards...i have no idea what it was but it made one heck of a commotion....stopped....snorted and i kept on my way hoping i didn't scare it off for good.....this was all 100 yards from my camera/stand....still good or is the deer gone for good?

I say it is still a good spot. It might be a spot to let rest till the rut is closer and the scrape becomes more active. That way, the spot will have time to 'cool off' after your instrusion.

I am no expert but I think the spot will still be a good one. A very close friend of mine actually shot a nice buck with his bow, but he didn't drop it and it was not mortally wounded. He returned the next day and wound up killing the buck from the day before with a second shot, not only did the buck hang around he was traveling the same trail as the day before. When he went to check his kill, he indeed saw where the bad shot hit the deer in the shoulder and missed anything vital. I said all that to say this, if a deer isn't spooked out of its routine by getting shot, then I don't think you spooking it is going to either. Good Luck!
