apples for deer

we have a apple tree in our yard and the apples are dropping so i went out and picks some up for the deer. will they be rotten by tommorow or will they be ok. will the deer eat them like this or is it better if i cut them in half. if the become rotten will the deer still eat them.

Deer smash them if they are whole and to big to get in there mouth. Better check your baiting laws before you do anything though.

Persimmon Bombs!

I have two persimmon trees in my yard, and this time of year they are in the hundreds.

I usually take a bucket full, put in a blender with vanilla extract and blend them very well. Once I have about 15 to 20 "bombs" I set them in the freezer until season starts. A day before I hunt a particular spot I will drop them out of the tupperware and as they defrost, you can almost smell them 40 yrds away. I usually drop them on trails as licks, but wil drop a few in the area of my stands.

Anyone else tried this.

FYI.....dear love em...and as they melt they seep into ground and the vanilla/persimmon is alost like a lick....if they dont tear them up before they melt,

Yes deer will eat them either way i have used gd aples but the rotten ones seem to do better idk i guess because they have more smell IMO.

They wont necessarilly smash them but they may not necessarilly eat them either. Deer wont eat ALL apples. I just put some out on Saturday evening, went back yesterday to check them and they were pretty much gone, checked the trail cam over the apple pile, had 52 pictures in less than 20 hours. Took the the card out put it in my card ready and long and behold, one doe on the apples for nearly an hour lol.....
