Whiskerbiscuit and Feathers
Has anyone used feathers with a whiskerbiscuit rest ? I tryed modifing one , cutting slots to clear the feathers and the arrow pushes the wiskers out of the way and the arrow falls downward . I shoot off of the string and this toqures the arrow downward on the draw .

If you are going to modify the biscuit I would reccomend looking at the pictures pertaining to biscuit modifications at the technical and tuning tips section of the Carolina Archery Products website. Just flattening the back of the biscuit will soften the biscuit a considerable amount, and the biscuit will still have the self-centering quality to it when the arrow gets bumped.

I tried feathers and yes they do shoot accuratly, but the wear pretty quick. The tops get " fuzzy" and the arrow becomes louder. I really think a quality 4" vane is the way to go with the WB.

RE: Whiskerbiscuit and Feathers
I generally use straight fletch 4" Duravane through the whisker biscuit with good results. With vanes what you want to use are those that have a high polycarbonate content to them, they are harder, slicker, smoother and go through the rest faster than the soft, dull, rubber kind. Feathers are always going to make more noise than vanes. The outer edge of feathers will show a wear pattern that will be even on all the feathers after about 200 shots. This polishing of the outer edge of the feather does not seem to increase after those initial 200 shots. When the feathers are broken in they seem quieter through the rest then when new.
