We have a park here that is estimated 400 deer per square mile. They are suspose to let bow hunters in this fall. I will volunteer when the time comes. Of course there are many uneducated protesters that think the deer would be better off left alone.

This will be my 3rd year-lots of hoops 1st time & then just the profiency shooting after that. Does only & IF you bag 3 Does you get a buck tag for the following year. I shot 1, 1st year & 2 last year. I really don't worry about earning the Buck tag as I Bowhunt another rural area for Bucks. They do get wise very fast so don 't think it's a walk in the park. Enjoy.

Well, looks like others are doing this too and it is a gr8 way to extend the season, teach someone how to bow hunt, and get rid of some deer in the city limits where their only enemy is cars.

Trying to sign myself up for one around here. I need to shoot 6 out of 6 in a 6" circle at 20 yds. Then I need to pass a background check. Then I need to show proof of completion for a hunter education course. Then I need to fill out a ten page packet and write a detailed account of my urban hunting experience. After that , they might pick me.

Is about the same for us-5 out of 5 @ 20yds, hunter safety (no exceptions), information packet to fill out, stands in & out each hunt , elevated stands, no stalking or shooting from the ground & special in person check in station & form to fill out besides reporting to state DNR. What is nice is that I can Bowhunt within 5 min. of my home since my other places are 1 hour or more.
1 of 2 I took last year.

I do in Indiana but we dont have to do all of that stuff. Just have to hunt legally and with permission.

What about public property. We will be hunting in the parks and golf courses.
