here is the new guy. so far i count 18 points, i don't know how many brow tines. mass that will go 10 to 12 inches between all the brow tines.
i just got the cam photos last night. this deer comes every day at 7:30 and usually comes another time or 2 each day. Attachment 1034 |

Very hard to score but I don't believe he'll make 200" but I could be wrong, I was once before. :guiness:
I honestly got 174" but I'm sure I missed some junk. What a stud! |
That is a great buck, but I doubt 200+... Now go out there and prove me wrong by getting him!
Maybe upper 160,
I dont see the required tine length, but, its hard too count whats all in that junk at the basses |
Now that is a stud. Lets see it on the ground. Best of luck.
I'm with Rob... Mid to upper 170's. Freak Fo Sho!
you could be right, i will hopefully see in person. after i looked at closeups and added up all the estimated lengths and estimated mass measurements, i came up with 219, take off 10 or 15 for error and you come up with 204.
i won't be able to say for sure how far off i am until the buck is on the ground. |
I don't know about a score, but he's got a mess of points on that left side. Get some real close ups of him with you behind him and we can put the speculation to rest.
He is a monster for sure...
defiantly a shooter!!! But don't think it'll sniff at 200. Gonna loose alot of mass when the velvet comes off. If both sides were palmated and junked like the left then WOW it'd be there. Freaky buck!! Now prove me wrong and i'll drink a beer to it!
Wow.....that is all I got right now lol.
Shane |
Wow what a deer!
what a pig! its hard to measure deer on trail cams pics but i would say at least 190's +. good luck at him
I would put him at 200 if he had the beam length and extra width. Unfortunately I think he probably has beams that are in the 20-21" range. 185 gross. Awesome buck! Now go find me one.
That is a giant buck, but I doubt it goes 200+
dont think he will hit 200, but kansas can flat out grow 'em... thats all i can say
nice buck, good luck on getting him on the ground
he is a hawg, but not even close to 200. I say mid upper 170's
Sorry Bro, I just ain't seeing anywhere close to 200" there, even giving him 40" of mass, I can't get him about 170!!!
Darn nice!
he is huge but 200" i doubt it look how he barely passes his ears
Great looking buck!!!
This thread is worthless without GPS coordinates :s2:
JK, awesome buck! (and GPS coordinates are worthless without tags and permission...)
that buck is definately a freak and would love to have him on my wall 200'' or not! Good luck and tell us what he scores later.. (hopefully your on my team!! ) :guiness:
thats no 200, more like 170-180
I wouldn't care what it scored! won't be 200 but a 85" six point is a trophy in my book! Wack'em this fall and let us know what it scores! I'm guessing 170s. gonna be a lot of deductions! but again!!! He's a HAWS!!!
Nice deer but if he comes EVERY Day, then you should have more photos...........plus I think only the left side is palmated. Id say around 160
nice buck, I don't think it really matters if it scores 200"
I don't know how you guys can accurately even begin to put a score on this guy without some other angles and closer pics. That said, looking at him, I'd be shocked if he broke 180 gross.
I think that is one very nice buck, I hate to disappoint you but I too say it goes around 170. Give him another year and maybe he'll make 200. Some closer pics of him after he peels the velvet, and maybe he would score differently.
nice deer, id say 180-190.. nice deer man.. and for ppl who think how wide he is has anything to do wit scoring your wrong.. it has everything to do wit mass and MB and length.. i love how ppl think the deer will score much more cuz hes wide.. haha
Listen Young'n, the width to which I was referring to had not so much to do with score as it did have to do do with beam length. And the difference between a buck that is only 16" wide and has beams of 20 or 21" compared to a buck that is 20" wide with beams of 25" can be considerable. I'm probably the last guy you should laugh at when it comes to deer.

after listening to everyone here and reviewing some of the side angle shots to add up lengths, i agree that 200+ is going to be high. but still after guessing lengths and all, i still put him at a bare minimum of 182. what it is that is putting him so high is 18 points plus all the brow tines will give us a lot of 10 to 12" mass measurements. i am going to put him between 182 and 195, if it gets killed i will repost with a little contest. we are already loosing sleep on what our strategy will be for this specific deer. thanks for everyones input, i will be the first to say when i am wrong on an initial score and i can't wait to see what an official score might be for this deer (crossing my fingers that he gets killed!). |
160's . . remember not as heavy when velvet sheds
not quite 200" but that is one hoss of a deer. hes a freak
I DONT CARE WHAT HE WILL SCORE HE IS A MONSTER FOR SURE HE WILL BE UP ON THE WALL ANYWAY:cool2:
