Lets talk layering in the cold
I know it seems a little early to talk about needing to layer your clothes to stay warm, but I would like to hear every ones layering system. List each layer, and what each layer is made of. I have never been able to figure this out, and always seem to freeze in the late season.

Bottom:
Underwear(obviously)
Under Armor bottoms
insulated pants
bibs
Top:
Under Armor cold gear
Basic long sleeve camouflage shirt (uninsulated)
Button up long sleeve shirt (kind of thick)
insulated coat
I also will freeze after sitting out in the cold for a period of time. I usually had problems with keeping my feet warm. Now I figured out to just try to get them nice and hot walking out to the stand and that will help the most. And I try to wear only the Redhead insulated socks from Bass Pro. Those seem to help the most.

I dont have a problem with my feet anymore, I started using those heated insoles in my boots, and they work great! I used to just use the ones that went under your toes, but they never seemed to work, but now that i have started using the whole insole one, I dont have any trouble.

The "layer" thing depends on how cold is cold and how much wind and humidity.
I think the most important parts are to NOT wear cotton and have base layer that wicks away moisture from your body .
Outlayer should be windproof.
If I get cold, I put every piece of gear I have on to stay in the woods. The rain suit is just another layer to me.

I'll give you my layering system in reverse:
Wind resistant camo shell, top and bottom
Heavy fleece jacket, camo fleece hood, wool stocking cap, wool scarf, LaCrosse felt lined pac boots, gaitors
heavy wool pants and shirt
underarmour
Note: all my cold weather pant have suspenders, not a belt. I feel it promotes heat exchange between the north and south half of my body as I move. Pants tucked into the gaitors prevent cold air from seeping up my legs. I don't get cold with this setup and I'm still able to draw and shoot my bow without clothing interference
