Thanks crokit, there were two wolves and they had just taken down an elk calf. One of the wolves had taken off in the direction these two are looking. The griz came down the hill behind them from a good mile away. These two fought over the remaining portion of the kill for about 10 minutes when I got this shot. Whole scene lasted about an hour before the wolf left. Oh yea and mama elk was a couple hundred yards to the right the whole time.

My favortie place to go is to our properties in Northern Idaho, little town called Sandpoint. Have to go elk hunting out there one of these years.
