Cabelas Outfitter Series PL-1?
 

Anybody else take a gander at Cabelas new Outfitter series bow the PL-1? I just received their archery catalog yesterday and I have to say that the bow definitely caught my eye. Here are the specs:

7 inch brace height
34.5 inch axle to axle length
3.8 lbs
75% letoff
235 AMO speed
304 IBO speed
Conventional solocam design
Solid limbs

Sounds about like most of the other bows on the market today, right? Well the picture definitely does the bow much more justice. The bow has the long riser/short parallel limb design commonly found on bows like the Mathews Legacy, Bowtech Patriot and Archery Research AR34.



It also comes with some pretty impressive accessory packages which include such items as the Copper John Dead Nuts sight or Trophy Ridge Flatliner, and NAP 1000 Pro or NAP Quicktune 2000 rests.....plus the price is in the midrange as well.

So who is gonna be the guinea and buy one of these to do a report on? I would love to but I am a little tapped out right now...:)

Shoot PaH. never let a little thing like money stand in the way of happiness, go ahead, buy the Cabela bow and give us a full report! :D

I looked at it yesterday too. I' m guessing PSE is making it for them. I know I did a double take when I first saw it in the catalog.

Yes, those were my thoughts too. The grip sort of looks like the one found on the Archery Research AR34. I think they are going to see alot of them.

As for the money issue....see my wife...;)

I was also interested in the pl-1 it looks like a nice bow not to bad of a price,bare bow $449.99 and packages start at $549.99.

Yeah it looks like a nice bow. I took a look at it yesterday when i got the Magazine. It looks like it would be a nice bow to have. I am lookin at new bows. I have considered this one but i have to make the money first.

But at 7 inch brace I want more than 304 fps....JMO

Should sell well though;)

I saw that too....AR popped into my head from the get go.I know PSE put together " Cabela' s Packages" in the past too. I' ll shoot it as soon as they get one in. I live 12 miles from the Dundee store. Good thing too...they had Parker, Buckmaster, Non pro shop PSE and 2 lower Hoyts in their lineup last I checked. Slim pickin' s for the bow freaks around here.
