Which 3D target should I buy?
I' ve been looking at the cheapie 3D deer targets such as the Delta Riverbottom and Mckenzie Tuff Buck. I need one for field points as well as broadheads. Any suggestions? It' s only going to be used by me for ground and treestand practice, so I don' t want to pay a lot.

I don' t think the cheap ones are worth it. I bought a delta riverbottom buck in october and am on the 5th vital replacement. $70.00 for the target and I have spent $80.00 on vitals in a few months. If you shoot broadheads into it it will tear them up quick. I' m looking into replacing this one, I think I will just spend the money and get a Rhineahardt(sp?). I' m not sure how well the Mckenzie targets hold up but they have to be a lot better than the delta.

I don' t recommend any 3D target getting hit by BH' s over and over. I like my Blueridge 3D because I can find replacement vitals at Wal-Mart for $11.50 normal price and $5-7.00 on clearance. I' ve seen the Blueridge 3D at K-Mart for only $60. I bought mine at a yard sale for $10!:D I only use field points though.

I haven' t found a target yet that will stand up to continued use by bh. I' ve had 3 or four 3d thargets as well as the block and now the black hole. Even the layered target tear up pretty quick when shooting broadheads

As far as a 3-d target holding up to broadheads over extended use,I don' t think that there is one.Maybe a Mckensie HD but you would be worn out from trying to pull arrows because they will lock up in the targets and will require some type of lube.Really not something I like to do with an arrow that I use for hunting.Really don' t need the scent.
Rinehart makes the best 3-d target imo but I don' t think they will hold up to broadheads for very long.Atleast they have replacable midsections but they are extremely expensive.I would stick to shooting the 3-d targets with field points and get something else for broadheads. Rinehart makes the Rhino block that looks like it will do a better job as far as holding up is concerned. It is expensive though.Over $100.00 but it might be worth it.Check it out. www.rinehart3-d.com/targets10.html |

The Bionic Bucks rock if you only want to use field tips!
