ORIGINAL: Alpha Capo

also why the discrepancy in price???
$245 at walmart (wich i dont like walmart atall)
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10759794&findingMethod=r r

compared to $399 and $439 at the delorme sight it says something about a bundle??? but either way thats a big difference from $245 to $399

It looks like with the walmart option you get Topo USA version 7. DeLorme offers all kinds of ongoing deals for the PN-40/Topo USA version 8 bundle. If that is the one you want to get I would call them and work a deal over the phone. I got the bundle for something like $299. Still more than walmart but you get the newer Topo USA. If you, or anyone, does get this particular mapping software I would suggest doing the subscription for the topo/aerial/satellite downloads. Well worth it if you want to map out large areas.

I wouldn't jump right in on the mapping system so quickly tho. When i purchased my Earthmate it came with a free software coupon. Then about 2 months later sent me an e-mail with an even better savings.. So I would hold off a little bit with any purchasing of maps until they notify you. There is nothing like those aerial/satilite downloads although i wish the viewing screen was a little bit bigger..
