Best broadhead for a bow with a 35lb draw weight?
My girlfriend is getting into bowhunting this fall. Right now she can only pull 30lbs, and hopefully by fall she can reach the state law of 35lbs for deer. I was wondering what broadhead is the best for such a low draw wieght. I am worried about the penetration of the arrow with only 35lbs. Thanks

When I started out hunting I only had my bow set at 40lbs and I had muzzy's. I killed three deer with the same broadhead. Sadly the fourth deer was a complete miss and I lost the arrow.

I made a complete pass thru on my first deer with 40 pounds , 1916 aluminum and an old satelite head back in 1986 when I was a little guy.
Make sure you find something light with a small cutting diameter..

something cut on contact, with two blades, and a fairly small cutting diameter. I would recommend Magnus Stinger two blades, I'm pretty sure they make them in 75 or 85 grains. I bet if she starts practicing now she will be able to pull more then 35 lbs by the time bow season rolls around - girls are pretty tough! haha

I have shot Steel Force before and really liked them... I would suggest shooting one w/ the bleeder blades at 85g... Its a pretty long blade and should give you plenty of penatration.

I'd go the 2 blade route. Magnus makes some outstanding broadheads If your wondering what to go with. If It was me I'd go with a 125 grain Screw In Magnus vented 2 blade. Here's a link to the BH's I'm talking about. http://www.magnusbroadheads.com/magnus.html
