Default Free Maps

Here are some USGS 24k maps (among many other forms of data) available for free. It is much easier to search this site than others.

Select your state, then county, then click on the .tiff link to download the map that covers your area of interest (the map names are quadrangles).

It NEVER fails, I seem to hunt where a quadrant intersects the corner of my map and I have to buy all four maps!!! Ugg![>:]

Another good site:

In all honest, Acme Mapper is a far better sight, no waiting on the slow downloads, quick zooming and panning, multiple views, etc. I'd just recommend any of you guys considering a trip out west make sure you get maps that outline property ownership as well, being state and federally owned lands vs. PRIVATELY owned, and KNOW the borders, and plan your hunting accordingly.
