Say a turkey prayer for me(:

This is my last weekend to get a bird as season closes Sunday. I have only been able to go a couple of times this season and Don is going to take me this weekend and see if I can put an arrow in my 1st bird and make my 1st kill ever with a bow and arrow. Hope his redone Pretty boy can bring me success like it did for him. Wish me luck..who else is still after a bird?
Emily

Good luck! I'm sure with the way Don's season has gone, you'll be on birds in no time. This is also my last weekend to tag my first turkey with a bow.

Again, good luck to both of you and we'll be looking forward to seeing some pics posted this weekend;)

Dang fletch, your Wife or girlfriend too ugly to post a pic of her on here, so you give Emily a hard time over what she chooses for her avatar? You Can't kill anything with a bow, so mess with the guy that can bow hunt successfully? I am going to have to stop making you feel inadequate?.If I quit killing stuff with my bow and date some homely girls, will you feel better? I have been a member here since 2006, you since 2003, and no dead animal pics of your bowhunting excursions that I can recall?? What's up?? Need me to teach you how to do it? $200 an hour and I 'll show you how to call a bird or how to hang a tree stand. Then you too, can post pics of dead stuff and be just like Hardcore:eek:
P.S. See a plastic surgeon, I can't help you get a pretty gal.

That is hilarious. Perhaps you missed my 185" whitetail taken with a bow last October. Looks nice next to the 169" with a droptine I took two years prior.;) You obviously missed the photo of my wife.:) When and if you can ever top either I will congratulate you. In the mean time, I will continue to enjoy my success without shouting it from the rooftops every-other day.

You might want to check into the DoubleBull BS5 made forrecurve hunters. It is extra tall and MIGHT allowyou enough head room. :D

By the way, I charge $500 an hour. I could review your application but no guarantees.[:'(]

You are welcome to review my posts to see any and all pics. Don can show you how. I post very few kills. Dont want to come across as being an egomaniac.

Gotta go. I have to get my highlights redone and then it's off to get a couple of piercings and ride my motorcycle around the High School.:D

lol...no, bow killed animal pics never get old on an archery forum..unless you aren't successful as a bow hunter...hint..hint..talk is cheap as they say.......Why in the world would someone kill a turkey with their bow and not come on a forum and show their good fortune to their friends??? I have a cousin that has downs syndrome and I also love Corky. Not making fun of downs syndrome..just someone who personally attacks me because of their lack of class.Oh, and the self proclaimed comment...once again presumption on your part. Don set me up an account and taught me how to post, so I could get involved in these forums he is on. He picked my username and I had no choice but to go along. As long as he thinks I am his bow hunting hotty, that is alright with me. Man, you have some real issues in life.

My "friends" are real, not cyber.I dont post pics often becasue I dont have a need to.My friends see my trophies. They are often with me. My success is also very real and I would put my game room up against anything you could put together for the rest of your life. Top 5 whities average better than 165". If you really cant find the pictures than you have bigger issues than I imagined. Best of luck in life.

Really, a cousin with Down's and you still make that post?? That tells me everything I need to know. class????[&o]

The best thing for me is to pray for you. You have mental health problems obviously. To help your mental health issues, you should not look at any threads I post, Don posts, or any that have any pics of dead animals in them. Also any that tell others to wish them luck for a turkey hunt in the am.

Tell you what, my mental health is in such a condition that I dont look for approval in the cyber world. My ego doesnt need stroking and I am very comfortable with who I am. Save your prayers for someone that needs them. Someone much, much closer.

By the way, I bet you two make a great pair. A lot in common.;)

IMO I like it when guys/gals post their stories and pics on here. I post my own. It's the only way we have of sharing with most. It would be a pretty boring place if No One posted their pix or stories.

I never considered it bragging or felt like anyone else did either. It's just a way of sharing with friends on the forums and I consider most on here my friends.

I'll shake anybody's hand anytime they are successful. Successful Bowhunting is about a lot of variables the least being the Hunters actual skill:eek:shooting or otherwise. If you want to play a skill sport try Golf.

As far as the rest of the stuff that's brought up? That's all a personal choice. I have Tattoos ride a Harley and have dated Gals not much more thanhalf my age, (who wouldn't?) and you might even see me with an earring in my ear.;)People who judge others without really knowing them......................................

Well maybe they are bored and need something to do!:D

There must be some kind of history or grudge there. I don't know and I really don't care other than this kind of childish mud-slinging on here gets old quick and it really emphasizes the lack of maturity in some folks. Putting that aside, grudge or not, to start bashing someone who has done and said nothing to youbased solely on the fact that are associated with someone that you don't like -well, that saysa lotabout the person, and what it says isn't good at all.

lol..nah..i m busy and brother and his girlfriend really wanted him. At Christmas his lil swiffer look alike and swiffer played together nonstop. Down to the wire on the birds..season ends Sunday so we are hunting hard this weekend. I sure would like to give Emily the opportunity for a shot at her 1st bow kill. She seems to really like archery and bow hunting. She wants to bow hunt deer BIGTIME and is always talking about how she can't wait to learn treestands and bow hunting for deer. Her dad has some good land for us to hunt, so between her places and all of mine, she should be good to go. She is a tom boy and is eager to learn how to bow hunt. She really shoots her new Bowtech Equalizer well. She can put an arrow where it needs to go, just have to get a bird to her. Our bird pop is pretty low up here in central IA where we live, so it is tough, and breeding for the birds is winding down. My strategy is to just get on a nice oak flat, do some soft calling, and be patient. It has been unusually cool here this spring, things in the woods aren't overly green, there is still good visibility in the woods, and hopefully the wind doesn't blow and make the birds nervous.

Birds got the best of me this season. Yesterday, it was cold and very windy. 45 degrees and 25 mph winds. No gobbling, and I only saw a hen that came walking through the area at 40 yds real quickly. No toms or jakes whatsoever. I was just too tired to go out today and hunt, so I cashed it in. Don, tried rolling me out at 4 am and I just couldn't get up. Not "hardcore" enough. Took some pics of yesterdys hunt. This blindhog sure is a nice way to carry everything.

My last setup of the season. This is a flat several hundred yds back in the woods from a tillable field. It was the best place to hunt out of the wind.

Don brought this along for me. He is long legged and just has no issue crossing fences. This attaches to the post, and it allows me to step over the fence. Gr8 product for short people

Thanks guys!!! Appreciate the enthusiasm. I am looking forward to deer hunting this fall. This turkey hunting is TOO EARLY of a game for me. IA doesn't have a good bird pop according to Don and our deer population is way high. He says he does 90% of his deer bow hunting from 3 pm till dark, and that sounds more like my game. We are going to do a lot of 3D shooting this spring and summer, hope to see some of you out there. Going to try to shoot with Don's friend Dave, who owns Double Lung Archery.
