Welcome to the forums!
I know nothing about Martin bows so I will not comment on that part. I like the fall away ( drop away ) Arrow rest the best, But for someone just starting out you may want to go with the wisker biscut. I would recommend you try a bow with all 3 set ups if you can and that way you will know what you like best.. Good luck to yah! |

The WB would a great rest to start with: utterly reliable and worry free.
There are many companies selling bow packages: Parker, Diamond, Reflex etc. I would visit some bow shops and shoot as many bows as possiblebefore making a decision. A good shop is also a great place to learn. Are you able to shoot this Martin bow? |

Martin makes a great bow and they have great customer service as well. You really should shoot a few bows before deciding on which bow is "right" for you. Coming on here and asking for suggestions is a great way to get an idea of which bow to try, but we all have different likes and dislikes and each bow is going to feel different to each of us.
As far as WB vs. a Drop Away rest goes, I really prefer a drop away. Trophy Taker makes some really nice rests, I also really like the QAD Ultra. The Ultra is a great drop away, which also protects the arrow from falling off the rest just as good as a WB, which is important for a beginner. Everything else on the package looks great and I would say the price is pretty decent as well. As stated before, Martin makes a great bow with pretty good speed and shootability and has outstanding customer support. Good luck and have fun! |
